The Wait is Over, Football is Back
Master League returns with new faces, and familiar ones all looking at getting their hands on the jackpot.

The wait is finally over.
The 2026/27 season gets underway today, which means it is time for another season of Master League.
Now in its latest campaign, Master League brings together family and friends to compete across the Premier League season, predicting results, picking up points and, inevitably, giving each other a bit of stick along the way. It is competitive, but ultimately it’s all about enjoying the football and having something extra to play for throughout the season.
This season also sees two new players join the competition, with Jamie and Jack making their Master League debuts. They’ll be looking to settle in quickly and see if they can make an early impression on the established players. Whether they can challenge for the title straight away or find themselves learning the hard way, there’s 38 matchweeks ahead to find out.
The new season starts with Arsenal taking on Coventry City, giving everyone the first chance to put their predictions to the test. After weeks of waiting for the Premier League to return, there is something particularly satisfying about finally getting that first prediction in and seeing how it plays out.
Of course, everyone starts the season on an even footing. Previous seasons count for bragging rights, but they won’t help anyone earn points this time around. The league table is reset, the fixtures are ready and there is plenty of time for things to change.
That’s part of what makes Master League enjoyable. A strong start can give you confidence, but one good weekend doesn’t win the league. Likewise, a poor opening few weeks doesn’t mean the season is over. With Premier League football running all the way through to May, there will be plenty of opportunities to recover, overtake rivals and make up ground.
Kick off is brewing, so let’s see how the season unfolds, finally, as always, good luck everyone, and we hope you enjoy the new master league season.
